WHO WAS GIGANTO?
Gigantopithecus blacki was the largest ape that ever existed. These colossal creatures thrived in the forested regions of Southeast Asia 300,000 years ago.
Over time forests got smaller, gigantopithecus didn't. Finding food sources became a problem for these 10-foot-tall, 600-lb. giants.
They didn't adapt. They went extinct*.
